Projects
Hands on builds where students turn photonics theory into working hardware, starting with a free space optical link demonstrator.
Current project
Building Optical Communication Systems
Our first club project dives into photonics for communication, relevant for drones, satellites, and free space optical links (FSOC). A detailed interactive model of the setup will be published here soon.
We work with high precision lasers and advanced gear, gaining hands on experience that shapes the direction of future projects.
Free space optical communication can transmit data at very high speeds, and it is a natural fit for a student club that wants to build real hardware, not just talk about it.
